Nothing sucks more then freezing your ass off in the winter.  The first things to go are usually your extremities.  I remember when I first moved to New York I thought that only girls wore scarves until the first winter came along and you better believe I was first in line to buy a scarf.  The next thing was to get some gloves.  I have several pair, from the ski gloves to the medium padded glove, the cotton glove... The thing that is great about them is that they look great with suits and they also allow you to put your hands in a coat pocket.  I also like the fact that they are well vented to prevent your hands from getting too hot.  It is not like I am climbing Everest with these things but they are definitely the best for my needs let alone for what they are originally designed for...
