Casio vs. Ferrari designer = Pininfarina G-Shock GE-2000
Ahhh!.. Nothing like the Japanese combining with Italians. Not only do they both have great food (speaking of food check out this Japalian place Basta Pasta) but style as well. With this union you get high tech and reliable Japanese engineering with elegance and stylish Italian design. Casio teamed up with Ferrari designer Pininfarina to make this great G-Shock watch. Pininfarina's latest car design is none other then the Maserati Granturismo. This Italian designer is not only a car designer but is also well known for his modern kitchen designs as well.

Pininfarina even used the same cables in the Ferrari's door to construct the watch band combining his automobile technology with his watch designs.
This watch is out of production but has been seen running from anywhere around. $200 - $500. The watch is worth it. Has some cool features like 5 daily alarms as well as an auto back light feature that automatically turns on the back light when you turn your wrist 45 degrees to read the time. Now thats freakin cool. Plus you have the designs of Pininfarina implementing Ferrari parts on the watch! The only down side is that the leather on the band starts to wear away at the buckle which is annoying because it is near impossible to get a replacement band. I hardly wear mine for that reason. I would never purchase this watch for active wear. This watch is way too hot to be gettin all nasty stinky banded and dirty. Although G-Shocks are known to take a beating, this one is more for show. Because of its crazy durability the military also uses the G-Shock. So if you are looking for a active daily wear watch I would look at other G-Shocks that are more suitable for your needs. They make tons of different styles with all sorts of different features from reading tides to MP3 players. They even make Baby-G's for ladies which were a huge hit in the 90's.
