"Is your Mom making you get a 4 door car?" Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ-400

Like most kids, when picking a first car everyone is thinking sports car.  Something with some sick lines and serious speed.  Unless you're from the south.  Then the dream becomes a pick-up truck or a jeep with big tires.   But like most parents, they are concerned about your safety and probably want you to get a Volvo.  Well here is your solution.  The 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ-400.

£46,999 (approx $86,440 US)

They modified the Lancer’s legendary 2.0-liter turbocharged engine so that it now produces a mighty 405bhp and 355lb ft of torque.  Now able to bust out 0-60mph in an incredible 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 175mph.  Compared to other super cars like Porsche Carrera GT, requires 3.9 seconds to sprint from 0-62mph, while the Pagni Zonda (which holds 2nd place around Top Gear's track behind the Koenigsegg)  needs 3.7 seconds. The BMW M3 takes 5.3 seconds to achieve the same feat.  This thing is so fast.  It can beat a Lamborghini Murcielago around the track as it did here on Top Gear.  Well in this "TV" segment at least.

Evo vs Lambo

As you see from the video.  The Evo was right under the Koenigsegg (without the spoiler) and beat the Lamborghini Gallardo when in the hands of the Stig.  So this sucker is pretty damn quick.  But you better get ready to search, because they only made 100 of these things.  And because its only made in the UK you are gonna have to drive on the right side of the car.  It is also just a "bit" pricey.  Just take Top Gears advice and get the 320.
